A John Waters Christmas Newark Concert reviews
Third Eye Blind was engaging and sounded fresh!
Probably the best of my 10+ A John Waters Christmas shows, the band was great. Stephan Jenkins never took a break, and with a vibe and enthusiasm, the band belted out every song I was looking for, making it clear that they're not done making music and they love what they're doing. This was just a great show with Taking Back Sunday and Hockey Dad giving us new music (for me) to learn. Merriweather has a good set up there with restaurants, police making pedestrian traffic safe, and accessible parking. Many of the ushers, however, seem too young. The confidence to police the behavior of the attendees, such as those congregating in the aisles/stairs, lack. Merriweather does almost zero policing of the no smoking policy. I had to ask three people around me to send their vaping another direction.
